Since the butterflies on display were from the Philippines, it was really cool to see this exhibit.
I swear Know-it-All is an animal whisperer because those butterflies kept flying over to him and landing on him. He knows to remain quiet while they are around him. Crazy One was too forceful with the butterflies.
Since Krohn's Conservatory also has plants and flowers, we also enjoyed looking at them. Know-it-All's favorite plant was the cacao tree.
Enjoy looking at some the plants and flowers!
Here are some other pictures from the Krohn's Conservatory:
Afterwards we went to the Harriet Beecher Stowe House close to the University of Cincinnati. It was actually the house of her father and step mother. Harriet only lived there for a few months while her husband was gone.
Harriet Beecher Stowe did not write Uncle Tom's Cabin until she lived in Maine but the inspiration came from the time she lived in Cincinnati.
The volunteers that worked at the family house were some of the best. They allowed us to take as many pictures as possible. They also gave us a tour with a mini history lesson. We really enjoyed our time at her house.
If you ever have a chance to visit the Cincinnati area, visit the Krohn Conservatory and Harriet Beecher Stowe House. You won't be disappointed with either place.
We also enjoyed seeing Xavier University as we drove past. It is a beautiful campus. I wish I had time to take some pictures of the campus.
